Meet Rena

Founder & Licensed Educational Psychologist

Hi, I'm Rena Halu, and I'm the founder of Heart & Mind Integrated Services. I'm a licensed educational psychologist with a Master's in Education in School Psychology from Alliant International University.

I created Heart & Mind to help children, adolescents, and young adults — and their families — better understand how they learn, think, attend, and navigate school and everyday life.

I know that watching your child struggle without clear answers can feel overwhelming. Many families seek an evaluation because they know something isn't quite working, but are left wondering what the results actually mean — and what to do next.

My goal is to make the evaluation process thoughtful, understandable, and meaningful — giving families a clearer picture of their child's strengths and needs, along with practical direction for what comes next.

With experience in public schools, I bring an understanding of both the educational system and the real-life challenges students and families face. I believe an evaluation should be more than a collection of scores. It should help families understand the whole child and identify meaningful ways to support them at home and at school.
